Music by P. I. Tchaikovsky in cartoons

Tchaikovsky's musical works, written especially for young listeners, are familiar to us almost from childhood. Admit it, because surely many of you have heard the song "Green Grass" and most likely did not even guess who the author is? Many of the works of the composer can be heard in favorite and popular cartoons. Directors often turn to Tchaikovsky's work, because his children's works are filled with real magic, take at least the Nutcracker ballet, where each number is a masterpiece that makes even adult listeners plunge into a fairy tale for a moment. The same applies to his "Sleeping Beauty", "Swan Lake".

"Seasons"

The Soviet cartoon "The Seasons" is the work of directors Ivan Ivanov-Vano and Yuri Norshtein. It perfectly intertwined appliqué and musical art. In the cartoon itself, on the background of succeeding each other seasons, the true love story of two characters unfolds, who will meet, an unexpected separation and a long-awaited meeting.

All the action takes place against the backdrop of two autumn plays from the album "The Seasons" - October "Autumn Song" and November "On the Troika". They are accompanied by an orchestra, which gives the music a special beauty and power of sound. "The Seasons" is an unusually popular collection, where 12 different pieces are collected. Each of them is a separate picture, a story that colorfully draws a certain month with the help of music. In the play "September" it seems that the pipes of the hunters are heard, and "November" is fascinating with the sound of the bells. And you know that this title was not given to the collection by Tchaikovsky himself, but by the publisher of the Nouvellist magazine N. Bernard, with whom the composer successfully collaborated for several years. It was he who sent Peter Ilyich an order for the piano cycle.

"Children's album"

“Children's Album” is a 1976 cartoon directed by Inessa Kovalevskaya. The little girl plays the piano, and the thankful listeners are her toys. Suddenly, thanks to the power of music, fantastic characters come to life, and the familiar story of the beautiful Cinderella unfolds before the audience.

During the entire cartoon, plays from the children's album of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky are played. In addition, the creators of this masterpiece took care of their young viewers, who can easily find out the name of the piece being played thanks to the prompts. Did you know that this album was dedicated to the composer's nephew? The composer unusually loved children and therefore often spent time with his nephews, during a visit to Kamenka. Volodya Davydov, the son of his beloved sister, was an unusual musical child and it was to him that the composer dedicated his compilation.

"Nutcracker"

This Soviet cartoon was created by Boris Stepantsev in 1973 based on the tale of Hoffmann and the ballet of the same name by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It is difficult to imagine the more popular and beloved by many art lovers work of the composer.

The tale of the enchanted Prince The Nutcracker and the girl Marie, who bravely fought the Mouse King, conquered the whole world. "Sleeping Beauty"

One of the most popular Disney animated cartoons created after the tale of Charles Perrault in 1959. It is filled with amazing fabulous atmosphere. In many ways, this is the merit of the beautiful music of P. I. Tchaikovsky from the ballet of the same name.

About 300 people worked on creating this masterpiece, which is why it is one of the most popular works of the legendary Walt Disney. The idea to create this cartoon originated in 1938, however, due to the Second World War and financial difficulties, Walt Disney had to postpone this work 1950 It was this cartoon that won the Academy Award for Best Music and the Grammy for Best Soundtrack.

"Spring melodies"

The 1946 Soviet animated cartoon "Spring Melodies" is a surprisingly good fairy tale showing the awakening of nature after winter. A fussy snowman melting under the warm rays of the sun, a flock of migratory birds, a cheerful romp of little chickens, spring flowers in full swing - all this is shown under the magnificent music of Tchaikovsky.

"Swan Lake"

The Japanese director Kimio Yabuki created in 1981 the animated film “Swan Lake”, which was based on the famous ballet of P. I. Tchaikovsky. Prince Siegfried falls in love with the beautiful Odette, who was bewitched by an evil wizard.

Sincere love helps the main characters cope with all difficulties and overcome enemies.

"Ugly duck"

This is no longer just a cartoon, but a musical, in which sometimes even elements of ballet appear. The vocal numbers in it are performed by the Turkish choir. The roles were voiced by Vladimir Spivakov, Konstantin Raikin, Armen Dzhigarkhanyan and others. Director Harry Bardin showed the well-known fairy tale by G. H. Andersen on the other hand, concentrating all viewers' attention on an emotional background. This is Bardeen's first full-length animated film.

For the first time the public was able to get acquainted with this work in 2010. According to the plot, a strange "duckling" appears in the big birdhouse, which is very different from all the others, it is teased by other inhabitants, and then completely chased away. Because of this, the ugly duckling has to grow alone. All the action takes place against the backdrop of the beautiful music of P. Tchaikovsky, which only decorates this cartoon.

Tchaikovsky composed works not only for the adult public, but also for young listeners. Some collections, such as "Children's Album" were created by the author specifically for the performance of young students. It is noteworthy that in every music school, children get acquainted with the works of the great composer, starting from these small plays. This is his first appeal to a similar subject. Few people know, but Tchaikovsky has his own "Snow Maiden" - this instrumental and vocal composition surprises with its fabulous color and rich colors. The music of Peter Ilyich is extraordinarily rich in visual arts and sometimes appears to young listeners in the form of vivid pictures. The directors skillfully took advantage and emphasized this feature of the works of the great composer. His music fits perfectly on a wide variety of subjects and you could see for yourself. One cannot but agree with the fact that works by Tchaikovsky will appeal to listeners of any age and will beautifully decorate not only an art film, but also any children's cartoon.
